How this work found me

"I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to support people on a quest for greater well-being. This work toward wellness transfers from individuals to the community and it is exciting and humbling to get to support humans in the process of healing and growing into who they are truly meant to be."

— TIFPHANIE CAMP
The need for human touch is as basic to life as the air we breathe and the food we eat. I started seeing a CranioSacral therapist almost 23 years ago in response to some challenges I was facing with my health. After my first session, I sat quietly in a cafe and pondered what I had just experienced. I observed that my head felt more spacious and free. I noticed that my breath moved in and out of my body with greater ease. I felt calm and was experiencing a sense of well-being that felt new and unique, yet natural. My central nervous system had down-regulated and it felt really good
I continued to receive CranioSacral Therapy once a week for some time. Over the next few months my physical and emotional health improved and I began to inhabit my body more comfortably. I started receiving Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and was impressed by how gracefully my body moved toward balance with just a little bit of support. I began eating well and taking better care of my body, incorporating more stretching, exercise and rest. The experience set me on a path that led me away from my profession as a social worker and toward my intention to learn and practice CranioSacral Therapy. My hope was to develop the ability to support people to heal and feel better from the inside out.
I became a Massage Therapist in San Francisco, CA, in 2005 after completing a certification in Shiatsu. Learning Shiatsu and studying Traditional Chinese Medicine provided a valuable framework for the art of working with the body and its natural energy systems. Soon after, I began my training in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. After moving to Texas in 2007, I completed massage certification and licensing and grew a successful practice over ten years in Austin and Westlake. In addition to my private practice, I had the valuable experience of working with a gifted Chiropractor, refining my skills in CranioSacral Therapy and structural and postural bodywork.
In 2018, my husband and I relocated to Asheville for new adventures. I spent the next 8 years doing massage in high end spa environments before going into business for myself again in March of 2026. Over the past few years I have trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, both here in Asheville and in Charlotte. I have enjoyed incorporating this work into CranioSacral Therapy sessions and find that the two modalities seamlessly interact and compliment one another in practical application with clients. Currently I am offering both modalities out of my office in Central Asheville on Hendersonville Road at I-40.
